Spotlighting the Best in local Amateur Photography
News and announcements regarding the Society, or that is otherwise relevent to the membership,
will be posted here as and when it becomes available.
Due to our advertised lecturer for tonight being unable to deliver his presentation due to illness, we have been frantically exploring ways to deliver an evening's entertainment for tonight.
In no particular order, Angela Plumb CPAGB, will present two AVs—one on Costa Rica and one on Trinidad—while Richard Hall FRPS, Bsc.Hons, will present Lockdown in Caythorpe. Time permitting, Rose has the Memorial Lecture and the APM Day to talk about as well.
We are extremely sorry not to be able to bring Abandoned Architecture by James Kerwin; we have sent our best wishes and hope to rearrange the evening at a future date.
As a mark of respect the Society shall not be meeting on Monday 19th of September.
The 'My Summer' event shall now be combined with the 'I Did it My Way' event on the 24th of October.
The format of the following evenings means they will not work on Zoom and will instead be in person only:
07/03/2022: Successful Wildlife Photography with David Hewson CPAGB21/03/2022: Macro Insect Practical Evening with Marlies Chell
The Annual Exhibition online entry portals for the PDI, Prints, PDI Panels, and Print Panels sections are now open, see the competition page for the link.
We are unable to have the Annual Exhibition Awards Presentation Evening for the 2020 and 2021 Annual Exhibitions planned for the 21st February (you can’t give medals on Zoom), with thanks to Rebecca Johnson we have planned something for your all to participate in and enjoy called Your Favourite Photographs.
Please check your emails for details of the evening and instructions for submitting your favourite images.
This event will be accessible via Zoom only.
